The Jan Sniadecki Gymnasium in Salcininkai is one of the largest schools in the Salcininkai municipality. It provides primary and secondary education for approximately 800 students aged 7-19 who come from diverse backgrounds in Salcininkai town and the surrounding villages. About 70 caring and experienced teachers create an educational environment in 40 well-equipped classrooms. The school boasts a well-resourced library, canteen, sport and event halls, a school park, an ethnographic cottage, and a playground.

The school offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, including various sports sections, art classes, theatre rehearsals, folk songs and dances groups, a pop music choir, as well as participation in the life of one of the four scout units. Graduates of the school go on to study at a wide variety of colleges and universities both domestically and internationally. It boasts extensive experience gained over many years in inter-state exchange and active participation in initiatives implemented in collaboration with partners from various countries.
