The school was founded on August 10, 1959. The art school has 404 students and 44 teachers. All teachers working in the school have acquired artistic education and qualification categories: 2 teacher experts, 11 teacher methodologists, 25 senior teachers, 5 teachers, 10 teachers received master's degree, I doctor of social sciences (education science). Albina DamaSauskiené, a theater expert works at the school. She directs one of the best national amateur theaters DREAMER.(Svajoklis). The school now hosts about 100 concerts a schoe,year. Since 2005, the Raseiniai Art School has maintained good contacts with the municipality of the friendly town of Lubartov (Poland) and with artistic, sports and social institutions. We participate in the celebrations of the city of Lubartov, there are exchanges of students, leachers and art groups, We always respect the initiative of our friends from the city of Lubartov to invite us to our festive events. We also invite delegations of students, teachers and social institutions and the municipality to the events of the city of Raseiniai every year. We have been working closely together for 20 years. The visit to Mlava strengthened cooperation and cultural dialogue between the music school named after Andzhay Khananovsky and the Raseiniai Art School.
