Khotyn Music School is one of the oldest schools in Bukovina, founded in 1955. Over the years of its existence, 2,572 graduates have graduated from the school, and 315 students have continued their studies in secondary and higher art educational institutions. Today, 223 students receive musical education. Students study at the school in the departments of: piano, folk instruments (bayan, accordion), string-folk and string-bow instruments (guitar, bandura, violin), wind instruments, vocal and choral singing, theoretical disciplines. The educational process is carried out by 27 teachers: piano – 9; bayan/accordion – 4; guitar – 2; bandura – 2; violin – 1; wind instruments – 3; vocal and choral singing – 4; theoretical disciplines - 2. Over the years of its activity, the Khotyn Music School has always enjoyed authority in the Khotyn community, district, and region. The positive image of the art school was ensured by solid knowledge and creative successes. A significant number of victories is a vivid indicator of the high-quality and professional work of teachers who comprehensively develop the creative abilities of students, provide them with practical skills and abilities, and educate true fans of musical art.

In 2018, the Khotyn Music School hosted the Bandura Art Festival "Khotyn Kobzaryk". In 2019 and 2021, it turned into the Open Distance Festival-Competition of Bandura Art "Khotyn Kobzaryk", which gained All-Ukrainian significance. 207 young bandura players from all over Ukraine took part in it. During the 2022-2023 academic year, school students took part in and became winners in various competitions: - international - 13 students and 15 ensembles; - all-Ukrainian - 24 students and 22 ensembles; - regional - 22 students and 2 ensembles; - Transnistrian TMO - 55 students and 2 ensembles; - school - 131 students and 30 ensembles.
