The Foundation for the Development of European Initiatives was established in 2022. The main reason for its establishment was the desire to regulate the activities that its members had been conducting for the Ukrainian population since the beginning of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict. The president and one of the board members organized accommodation, food, clothing and transport for war refugees in Przemyśl. The second member of the management board organized humanitarian aid collections in Nowy Sącz and organized accommodation in the Nowy Sącz region. The Foundation privately organized a project in December 2022 aimed at hosting seniors of Polish origin from Odessa by Polish families for the Christmas period. The foundation's members have extensive experience in working with young people. The president is a trained teacher, the members of the organization organized youth projects, exchanges of folklore groups, and animated youth groups. In February 2023, the Foundation co-organized the transfer of PLN 400,000 to the Hospital in Przemyśl. protective masks, 120 thousand pairs of gloves and surface disinfectants, which the authorities managed to obtain from private donors. In September 2023, the Foundation implemented a Polish-Ukrainian youth exchange project financed by the Polish-Ukrainian Youth Exchange Council in Bartkowo-Posadowa near Nowy Sącz, in which 40 children from both countries took part.

Experience in the implementation of educational projects aimed at young people

In September 2023, the Foundation for the Development of European Initiatives implemented a Polish-Ukrainian youth exchange project financed by the Polish-Ukrainian Youth Exchange Council in Bartków-Posadowo near Nowy Sącz, in which 40 children from both countries took part. On the Polish side, young people from the Nawojowa commune, associated with local folk music and dance groups, took part in the project. On the Ukrainian side, young people from Odessa, associated with local institutions promoting Polish culture and art among young people.
