Kyiv Lyceum 144 named after Hryhorii Vaschenko is a comprehensive secondary educational institution of communal ownership of Kyiv territorial community. The owner of the Lyceum is Kyiv City Council. The Lyceum is a legal entity, has its stamp, forms with its name and an ID number. The Lyceum is a non-profit organization. The structure of the Lyceum consists of: ? School of the I-II level (grades 1-7) ? school, where students aged from 6 to 13 are educated. ? School of II ? III level (grades 8-11) ? lyceum, where students aged from 13 to 18 are educated. The priorities of the educational institution are: the comprehensive development, upbringing and socialization of a personality who recognizes himself as a responsible citizen of Ukraine, able to live and act in a rapidly changing society, is eco-friendly, adheres to the principles of sustainable development, the formation of the values which are necessary for the successful self-realization of the individual, the education of responsible citizens who are capable of conscious social choice and directing their activities in favor of other people and society, preservation and popularization of Ukrainian national traditions and customs, enriching on this basis the intellectual, economic, creative and cultural potential of the Ukrainian people, raising the educational level of citizens for the sake of ensuring sustainable development of Ukraine and its European choice. A great importance is paid to the student's self-government of the lyceum. The Lyceum has its Students Parliament (Student Self-Government) consisting of the most active lyceum students, who are distinguished by successful studies, leadership abilities, volunteering and active life positions.

Students of of Kyiv Lyceum 144 named after Hryhorii Vaschenko in cooperation with Zespół Szkół im. Integracji Europejskiej w Nowym Mieście implemented ?several projects, such as: - " With tradition into modernity, that is to say Polish ? Ukrainian cooking": - "In unity with nature, Polish-Ukrainian eco-adventure", - ?My New ? Old Town. Subjective Polish- Ukrainian guide?. - ?Hands woven - Polish-Ukrainian folk inspirations?. Młodzieżowy projekt w czasach wojny: Kijów-Nowe Miasto ? Murzasichle, Ukraina-Polska. Uczniowie LO w Nowym Mieście i 144 Liceum w Kijowie po raz kolejny realizowali wspólny projekt. Projekt wyjątkowy, już drugi realizowany przez nasze szkoły, pomimo trwającej kolejny rok wojny na terytorium Ukrainy, projekt pokazujący w każdym aspekcie, że ?niemożliwe nie istnieje?! Tym razem działania ?Dłońmi wyplecione. Polsko-ukraińskie ludowe inspiracje? odbyły się w Murzasichle, koło Zakopanego. Młodzież aktywnie pracowała na wielu warsztatach dotyczących kultury Podhala i ukraińskich ludowych inspiracji. By stworzyć grę karcianą ?Quiz-polsko-ukraińskie ludowe inspiracje? nauczyli się robić ukraińskie lalki Motanki, malować podhalańskie Parzenice, wyplatać kilimy z wełny oraz szydełkowe kosze ze sznyrka, robić serki góralskie ? gołki i oscypki, haftować polskie, podhalańskie kwiaty i ukraińskie wyszywanki. Dowiedzieli się wielu fascynujących ciekawostek podczas spotkania z ekspertem w Izbie Regionalnej ?U Gąsienicy?. Uczyli się również od siebie tradycyjnych tańców, a były to polonez i hopak.
