description

European Academic Lyceum is an educational instituton which houses approximately 800 students, grades 3-11 (ages 8-17) and focuses on teaching foreign languages (English and German). We are highly motivated to set international relations. So far we have been active members of several international organisations like Generation Global, Go Camp, EnGin. We developed strong ties with Pulitzer Center in the USA and arranged meetings with some journalists. We participated in a range of international projects with the aim of developing media literacy, communication and leadership skills, eco awareness, etc. The staff and students and open for new ideas and constantly looking for new opportunities.

Experience in the implementation of educational projects aimed at young people

Before the Covid pandemic we were partners with Raunheim School in Germany. The cooperation was aimed at student exchange developing cultural awareness and communication skills. We spent in Germany four days and realised a number of projects like cooking national dishes, planning tourist routes in Raunheim, researching and comparing our towns, preparing presentations on the research. Unfortunately the project had to be stopped due to safety reasons. When the war started we met our present partners - Chicago Whitney Young High School students and their teacher Anne-Michele Boyle. We have been in touch online for more than two years and arrange Zoom meetings every month to realise different educational pojects on media literacy, teambuilding, cultural exchange, personal values (Padlet Home Stories) and many others. Some of them were even covered by an American TV channel "NBC News"
