Alytus Senamiesčio Primary School is a co-educational and full-day Contextual Education and Creative Thinking school with 320 students (aged 6-11), 35 teaching staff and 15 non-teaching staff members where everyone feels safe and wants to be, work and learn together. It is a school that implements preschool, primary, and non-formal education programs, creates an active learning environment and aims to develop independence and motivate the student. Ensuring a balance between academic achievements and the development of general competencies simultaneously, the school carries out preventive programs of social-emotional education, implements Creative Thinking and Engineering competencies development programs, develops community partnerships and networking with social partners, carries out consistent qualification improvement and discloses acquired experience. The school's priorities are personal development, application of universal design principles, collaboration and openness to change, and implementing an Inclusive education that aims to accept every learner, regardless of their characteristics, learning obstacles or difficulties, and to ensure their effective education.

The school would like to implement various projects in the fields of cultural heritage, environmental protection, education, science, peace, cultural diversity, and tolerance. The school just fished the project "World Is My Class" significantly contributed to the implementation of the school's strategic goal - to achieve the personal growth of each student by implementing the principles of contextual learning and strengthening the development of Creative Thinking and Engineering competence. The international experience gained during the implementation of the project was applied in the preparation of the school's contextual education strategy. Based on the strategy, the school's education and long-term plans were adjusted, foreseeing the integrated implementation of the Creative Education and Engineering Competence Education Programs.
