description

The Municipal Institution "Children's School of Arts" of the Makariv Settlement Council is a music school for children aged 5 to 18. It is a creative environment for learning and expressing artistic abilities. Our school employs 25 teachers and currently educates 248 students. With the aim of promoting musical, vocal, choreographic, and visual arts among the public, youth, and students of general education institutions, the school carries out significant concert and educational activities. The school provides basic music education, specifically instruction in playing musical instruments such as piano, violin, bayan, accordion, guitar, bandura, cimbalom, percussion instruments, as well as solo singing (academic and pop), folk and ballroom dance. Every student has the opportunity to perform on stage, either solo or in an ensemble. Each year, we organize numerous concerts, performances, master classes, and take part in competitions and festivals. We would like to expand our network and collaborate with more schools that teach music to children, and become an active part of European cultural life.

Experience in the implementation of educational projects aimed at young people

Our school has experience in international cooperation through remote participation in music competitions across various European countries. These events have inspired both our students and teachers to explore new cultural and educational horizons. While we are new to exchange programs, we are highly motivated to engage in professional collaboration with international partners, particularly in the field of music education. We are eager to share teaching methodologies, learn from others, and jointly develop creative projects that enrich musical learning. In addition, we are strongly committed to supporting children and youth affected by the war in Ukraine. Through cultural exchange and international cooperation, we aim to contribute to the mental and emotional well-being of our young generation, using music and the arts as tools for healing, connection, and resilience. We warmly welcome partnerships with schools, institutions, and organizations that share these values and are open to building bridges through the arts and education.
