The public organization "Ecosphere" was founded in 1999. The first areas of the organization's activities were environmental education and research and monitoring of the state of ecosystems. Almost immediately, the organization also began to deal with issues of regional development in the areas of sustainable waste management, energy efficiency and ecotourism development. The areas of FSC forest certification and advocacy began to develop. Over 26 years, Ecosphere, drawing on its experience, was able to develop and publish 15 educational and methodological and practical manuals in the field of environmental education, rural tourism, forestry and environmental advocacy, which can be found on our website in Educational and methodological manuals. All other non-fiction and reference literature that we have published has also been developed by our authors based on our experience. Today, the organization works in four main areas: - Environmental and educational activities: Green School for Children, youth programs, environmental camps, environmental publications. - Ecological research and monitoring: aquatic ecosystems, forest ecosystems (sustainable forest management, forest policy and FSC forest certification) and biodiversity. - Promoting sustainable development of local communities: sustainable waste management, energy efficiency, development of renewable energy sources, as well as the development of agro and ecotourism. - Environmental advocacy: representing interests and protecting the environmental rights of citizens. The organization's activities extend to the entire Zakarpattia region of Ukraine. In some regions, the organization operates throughout Ukraine. Today, we have implemented and continue to work on the implementation of local, regional, national and cross-border projects. We are working on the implementation of holistic projects of various durations, achieving specific results. 26 years of experience in youth and social projects. More than 90 projects for youth have been implemented. Trainer with 25 years of experience. Author of more than 10 training courses for youth on environmental protection, climate change, green tourism, energy efficiency, creation of energy cooperatives; courses on project management, leadership, team building, youth work, public relations, strategic planning, planning and financial management. Co-author of 4 extracurricular programs for school-age youth. Co-author of educational and methodological manuals: “Take care of your river!”, “Environmental education in school and extracurricular institutions”, “The ABC of solid waste management”, “Why is the forest dry?”. Author of the manual "Project Management", author of poems for the textbook for preschoolers in the form of a coloring book "How Mom Taught Peppa Pig to Sort Garbage". Has experience teaching for international youth groups: Slovakia, Germany.
