The State Establishment “Lugansk State Medical University” (LSMU) is a leading medical higher educational institution of Ukraine, founded in 1956. The university trains specialists in medicine and pharmacy and has the IV level of accreditation. Due to the hostilities in eastern Ukraine, it was relocated to Rubizhne in 2014 and has been operating in Rivne since 2022. The university has more than 28 departments and teaches more than 170 scientists, including doctors and candidates of sciences. LSMU actively cooperates with international partners, including the University of Kutaisi (Georgia), the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and the organization Medecins du Monde.

The university already has experience in implementing international projects, for example, together with partners from Georgia, the university is currently implementing a project to train civilians living in combat zones to provide first aid, and the university is involved in other equally important projects where it is an associate partner. We are interested in topics and areas of education, medicine, and science. We are confident that we will have a good cooperation and will be able to develop our youth in a quality manner, equip them with soft and strong skills, and thus build a stable and developed nation.
