NGO Chernihiv European was established in 2015. The NGO`s activities are focused on youth work, development of active citizenship in local communities, support of war veterans and their family members. Since 2015, the organization has been cooperating with the Natioanl Network "La Strada Ukraine" in the direction of prevention of violence and combating human trafficking among young people. The organisation is a partner of the British Council under the "Active Citizens" program, thanks to which over 6 years more than 45 social action projects have been implemented, including "Stop Bullying", "Safe Community" and other projects aimed at young people. The team of ?Chernihiv European? has experience in applying innovative art tools to support peace and prevent violence thanks to participation in the program ?Co-create for locals? by UNDP. Chernihiv European was a partner organization in international youth exchange projects under Erasmus+ programme, bilateral cooperation programmes and exchange councils.

During 2015-2017 Chernihiv European in partnership with Polish NGOs successfully implemented 5 Youth exchange projects. In 2020-2021, the organisation implemented the project "Women's Voices are count". The goals of the project are: establishment of gender equality in society as an important condition for sustainable development of the country; expanding the opportunities of women and strengthening their voices at the local level, creating space for the full participation of women from all over Ukraine in solving issues related to building peace and establishing security at the national level; involvement of a wide audience in peacemaking processes with the help of art exhibitions, dramatic theatres, street performances, video blogs and other art formats. In 2021 we successfully implemented the project ?Steps to safe community: bulling prevention in the youth environment within the Program ?Supporting the development of innovations in local communities within the framework of the "Co-create with locals" community programme 2021?. The goal of the project: formation of the models of safe behavior of student youth of Chernihiv region by involving them in gamified preventive measures - board game and social performance. In the framework of the project the development and distribution of the board game "Danger in Jungles" was implemented, as well as the planning and holding a social performance for student youth of local communities.
